3. How can I pay my parking ticket?

You can pay your parking ticket in the following ways:

By Mail - Department of Parking Services

Place payment and citation in the locked drop box outside of Department of Parking Services Office
Over the Phone - 800-956-1263, voice payment service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A convenience fee of $ 3.50, will be charged.

4. How can I dispute my parking ticket?: To dispute / appeal a parking ticket please click here. NOTE: Parking tickets must be disputed within 15 days of the issuance date of the citation.

5. I tried to pay my ticket using the automated system but the ticket does not exist in the system. What do I do?: If your ticket was recently issued, it is possible it has not been entered into the database, yet. Please check back in a day or two, and if you still cannot find it, call Parking Services at 203-618-3060.

6. How do I get a boot taken off my vehicle?

To have the boot removed, from a vehicle, all outstanding parking tickets and the boot fee must be paid in cash, at the Department of Parking Services, Mon - Fri 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

After 3:00 p.m. Mon - Fri and all day Saturday and Sunday, cash payments must be made the Greenwich Police Department Headquarters, located at 11 Bruce Place, Greenwich CT.

The payment must be made in person.

7. If my vehicle has been booted and / or towed, can I still pay online?: The payment must be made in person. To pay to have the boot removed, from a vehicle, all outstanding parking tickets and the boot fee must be paid in cash, at the Department of Parking Services, Mon - Fri 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m. Mon - Fri and all day Saturday and Sunday, cash payments must be made the Greenwich Police Department Headquarters, located at 11 Bruce Place, Greenwich CT.

8. I received a parking ticket for a vehicle I no longer own. What do I do?

If you are no longer the owner of the ticketed vehicle, please mail a copy of the ticket or notice with the following:

Bill of sale
Documents of sale and a completed Vehicle Transfer form to:

9. What is the purpose of the Residential Permit Parking program?: The program is designed to improve parking availability for neighborhood residents. Click here for more information.

10. How does the Residential Permit Parking program work?: An eligible vehicle owner can purchase a permit that allows for parking at residential zones during restricted periods. Permit holders are still subject to all other posted regulations in their zone, including no parking for street sweeping or snow plowing when applicable. The permit is only applicable in the zone specified on the parking permit decal. Click here for more information.

11. Who is eligible for a Residential Parking Permit?: Residential Parking Permits can be issued for a vehicle whose owner resides within an existing zone. Click here for more information.

12. I am a Residential Parking Permit holder, is there provision for my guests who come by car?: Each household is allowed to obtain up to two visitor parking passes provided that you purchase a parking permit. Visitor parking passes are not replaced if lost or stolen.

13. How do I obtain a parking permit?

If you are NOT a current permit holder and are interested in applying for an Annual Parking Permit, waitlists are in place for the various parking lots. You will need to join a waitlist. You will be contacted via a letter when you become eligible to receive an annual Parking Permit application.

NOTE: It is the responsibility of the parking permit waitlist applicant to notify the Department, immediately, of any changes in your information to ensure that any correspondence or materials are sent to you properly, including changes to your home address, email address, phone number.

14. As a current parking permit holder, how do I update my information (address, phone number, email, vehicle/s, etc.)?

It is the responsibility of the parking permittee to notify the Department, immediately, of any changes in your information to ensure that any correspondence or materials are sent to you properly, including changes to your home address, email address, phone number, vehicle information.

15. I don't have a railroad station parking permit, can I still park my car at the station?: The Cos Cob (Marina - Strickland Road), Old Greenwich (Northbound side), Riverside (Northbound side) and Greenwich (island Beach Lot) railroad parking station lots offer Day parking. The Day Parking fee is $ 7.00. NOTE: ONLY park in the area designated as Day Parking.

16. How do I update my waitlist information?

It is the responsibility of the parking permit waitlist applicant to notify the Department, immediately, of any changes in your information to ensure that any correspondence or materials are sent to you properly, including changes to your home address, email address, and phone number.

17. I am going on a trip and I have to leave my car at the parking lot for several days, what do I do?: In accordance to the Town's parking ordinance, Section §14-17.1, vehicles may not be left in the parking lot for over 24 consecutive hours. Vehicles parked for over 24 hours are subject to being fined and/or impounded.
