1. How can I get an absentee ballot for an election?

You may request an application of an absentee ballot by phone from the Town Clerk's office at 203-622-7897 or by mail from the:

2. How do I get a license for my dog and how much do they cost?

Dog licenses cost $8 for spayed or neutered dogs and $19 if they are not spayed or neutered. View instructions on how to get a license (PDF).

4. I do not live in Connecticut but am getting married in Greenwich, where do I apply for my license?

The Town of Greenwich is the only place you can apply.

5. Where do I pick up certified copies of my marriage license?

Certified copies are used for legal purposes and can be obtained from the town where the ceremony was performed.

6. I was married before, what name do I use for my new marriage license?

Whatever your legal name is at the time of application. If you changed your name to the previous marriage then that is your legal name unless your divorce decree reverses it or you have gotten a court order name change.

7. How do I register or cancel a business or DBA in the Town of Greenwich?

Please fill out the "Tradename Form" to file a DBA/business.  The cost to file is $10.00 cash or check.  The form needs to be notarized prior to filing.

To cancel a DBA/business please fill out the "Cancellation Form".  The cost to file is $10.00 cash or check.  The form needs to be completed by the same parties that filed the original certificate.  The form needs to be notarized prior to filing.

8. How do I get a copy of my divorce papers?

Regardless of where you were married, the court district for the area where you residing at the time of your divorce will have those papers.
