CT residents told to stock up, prepare to stay home during Isaias

Connecticut emergency management officials are beginning to prepare for the potential impact of Tropical Storm Isaias this week.

The storm reached hurricane strength overnight Friday before being downgraded Saturday to a tropical storm as it approached Florida. Isaias is now off the coast of southeastern Florida and is expected to reach the New York City area on Tuesday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
