Greenwich Resident Satisfaction Survey 2023

FB Resident Satisfaction Survey 2023

The Town of Greenwich wants to know what the priorities of its residents are and how they feel about the state of the Town.

TAKE THE RESIDENT SURVEY ONLINE

November 9, 2023 Press Release: The Survey is Mailed to residents

The survey is being conducted by the national research firm of Probolsky Research. This resident satisfaction survey will be conducted via phone and online using both direct mail and digital outreach.  Mailed postcards are arriving for approximately 2,000 residents across Town the week of Nov. 13. A sample size of at least 400 residents will achieve a 95 percent level of confidence. Additional sampling will be done if needed through telephone, texts, and emails through Nov. 21. The survey should take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

The biannual resident satisfaction survey was first conducted in 2014 and was then done again in 2016 and 2018. It was planned again for 2020 but was delayed a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the 2023 survey will follow up on the results from the 2021 survey.

Since the inception of this survey, the questions have only been minimally altered in order to work off of established benchmarks and measure both trends over time and the impact of changes. It is considered critical to informing future decisions made by the Town.

“The resident satisfaction survey is an excellent way to hear directly from residents and is extremely useful to Town departments as they seek to be responsive to resident needs and enhance the services that the Town of Greenwich is delivering,” First Selectman Fred Camillo said. “The data that is collected by this survey will be studied closely as we continue to seek ways to make Town government more effective and responsive to the needs of our residents.”

“The more residents we hear from, the better the results will be,” Camillo said. “This is a chance for Greenwich residents to tell us how we are doing as a Town government, what they love about their hometown, and what we can do better. We want to hear from as many residents as possible to provide a complete picture.”

The survey is available in both English and Spanish. Those online results will be collected by Probolsky Research and included separately in the final report to maintain the integrity of the random survey. All residents are encouraged to fill out the survey in one form or another.

A report is expected to be delivered to the town in late December and results will be released to the public soon after. The 2014-2021 results can be found online here.  Any questions should be directed to Wendy Zhou at wendy.zhou@greenwichct.org.
