GREENWICH — After years of deliberations, study and committee work, plans to build a new ice skating rink off Western Junior Highway have been submitted for approval by the town Planning & Zoning Commission.
The plan calls for building the rink on the baseball field to the north of the Dorothy Hamill Rink, then tearing down the old rink. The current facility will be kept in operation during the construction process so skating will be available throughout the project. A new ball field will then be built where the current ice rink stands.
