After months of hard work by the entire dedicated Emergency Management Team, led by Emergency Management Director Joseph Laucella, the Town is launching the new Greenwich Alerts system powered by EverBridge.
People can sign up by clicking here or by visiting www.greenwichalerts.com or by clicking the banner to the right.
This system will allow the Town to quickly issue messages to people about emergencies or potential safety hazards or concerns. People can choose to have messages sent via cell phones, home phones, emails, or text. Also, you can receive messages through the EverBridge app, which can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Android app stores.
During an emergency, time is of the essence, and getting out information is critical so residents can take precautions. This will be a great way for people to get needed information in real-time and can save lives in the case of an emergency.
