PROCLAMATION from Fred Camillo, First Selectman
WHEREAS, Horizons at Brunswick School, an academic and enrichment program serving 135+ Greenwich Public School boys from under-resourced communities, provides access and opportunity to summer and year-round learning to advance educational equity in the Greenwich community; and
WHEREAS, The Horizons at Brunswick School program is a long-term commitment to each student and dedicated family participation, resulting in an enduring and supportive learning community; and
WHEREAS, Horizons at Brunswick School is committed to the development of the whole boy through experiences that instill in each student the joy of learning, the skills for success, and the inspiration to realize their dreams; and
WHEREAS, Brunswick School generously provides the use of its facilities and its supportive infrastructure. All program expenses, including salaries, are funded by private philanthropy; and
WHEREAS, Horizons at Brunswick School is celebrating the upcoming tenth summer of a long and strong commitment to the Greenwich community.
NOW, THEREFORE, l, Fred Camillo, FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, do
hereby proclaim May 5, 2023 as
Horizons at Brunswick School Awareness and Giving Day
in the Town of Greenwich to help raise awareness of the academic needs of Greenwich Public School students and to continue to seek solutions for these challenges.
