[ARCHIVED] Meet the Women Officers of the Greenwich Police Department

GPD Womens Month 2023

Women's History Month celebrates women's contributions to history, culture, and society. It has been observed annually by the United States in March since 1987.

Women in policing are setting the standard for what it means to be an effective police officer. They are creating better opportunities for the next generation of female officers and making their communities safer.

The encouraging momentum toward creating a more balanced public safety force is partly fueled by a growing appreciation of certain unique and valuable professional qualities that women often bring to law enforcement. Such qualities enhance law enforcement agencies' ability to impact the communities they serve positively.

The Greenwich Police Department wants to highlight the importance of the strong and courageous women who work for our agency, celebrating their contributions, accomplishments, and commitment to service.
