PROCLAMATION from Fred Camillo, First Selectman
WHEREAS, Peter Uhry has lived in Greenwich for 50 years and has long supported the vital balance between open space and development in Town; and
WHEREAS, Peter has engaged in activities to improve our parklands and commercial areas for the public good; and
WHEREAS, Peter has long set an example of what the good work that volunteering and commitment to the community can accomplish; and
WHEREAS, Peter has made the improvement and maintenance of Binney Park, one of the jewels this Town has to offer, a major priority and that act benefits residents throughout Greenwich; and
WHEREAS, The Old Greenwich Association as well as other community groups, including Greenwich Audubon, Greenwich Green and Clean and the Friends of Binney Park have benefitted from Peter’s long history of volunteering.
NOW, THEREFORE, l, FRED CAMILLO, FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, do
hereby proclaim February 1, 2023 as
Peter L. Uhry Day
in the Town of Greenwich and urge all residents to join me in celebrating Peter’s many decades of contribution to our Town.
