As the days get shorter and the nights get cooler, you can expect to hear more about Medicare D. That’s because October 15 – December 7 is Medicare D Open Enrollment. Open Enrollment is the only time of year when changes can be made in the plans you have chosen for your Medicare Part D Prescription drug coverage. This is a good time to compare the cost of medications and plan premiums to make certain that the Medicare D plan you are on is still your best plan option for 2019. Prescription drug plans, premiums and medication formularies do changes from year to year. Even if you’re already enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan, we encourage you to review your coverage annually to avoid paying too much. If you don’t want to make changes to your coverage for the 2019 coming year, you do not need to do anything.
Now’s the time to enjoy the choice and control you have over your health care coverage. Just like fall, Medicare D Open Enrollment only comes once a year.
