The official groundbreaking for the Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center on Friday, October 7.

Greetings Greenwich friends and neighbors.

We did it! After years of discussion and planning we broke ground for the Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center this morning.

The new 35,000 square foot facility, named after the generous donation from the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation, will provide our community with a functional and modern civic center for generations to come.

The new facility – which has a planned completion date in 2024 – will include a full-size multi-use gymnasium with roll-out spectator seating, an 8,100 square foot multi-use event space and three 1,000 square foot activity rooms. There also will be indoor pickleball courts.
