PROCLAMATION from Fred Camillo, First Selectman
WHEREAS, We are here today to express special recognition to Thomas M.”TK” Keegan and to honor him for his distinguished 45-year career with the Greenwich Police Department; and
WHEREAS, TK began his career on August 22nd, 1977 as a Greenwich Police Dispatcher, he was sworn in as a Police Officer on October 23rd, 1978, and rose through the ranks of the Greenwich Police Department, eventually achieving the rank of Lieutenant on September 2nd, 1993, and continued to serve as a Special Police Lieutenant until July 1st, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Tom has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the Greenwich Police Department with a vast knowledge of the Town of Greenwich and forged many positive relationships with its citizens; and
WHEREAS, He has worked constantly for the betterment of the Greenwich Police Department and the community; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Greenwich expresses its sincere appreciation to Tom for his dedication to the outstanding performance of his duties during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, This proclamation is presented to Thomas M. Keegan to serve as a reminder that although he is retiring, he will always be remembered as a valued employee dedicated to both
the Greenwich Police Department and our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, l, FRED CAMILLO, FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, do
hereby proclaim June 29, 2022 as
Thomas M. "TK" Keegan Day
in the Town of Greenwich and urge all citizens to join me in celebrating and in recognizing TK’s contributions to our Town and in wishing him well in his retirement and future endeavors.
