PROCLAMATION from Fred Camillo, First Selectman
WHEREAS, Board of Estimate and Taxation members spend countless volunteer hours on behalf of the Town of Greenwich; and
WHEREAS, Time and effort, have been spent on the proper administration of the financial affairs of the Town including issuance of the annual recommended budget and setting the Town tax mill rate. The Board also acts on requests for additional appropriations, transfers and allotments made during the fiscal year. The Town's Annual Report, Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and Component Unit Financial Report for the Retirement System of the Town of Greenwich also fall under the Board of Estimate and Taxation; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth “Beth” K. Krumeich moved to Greenwich 37 years ago. She has served six years on the Board of Estimate and Taxation and was a member of the Human Resources Committee and Law Committee (both as a member and as Chair) and was liaison to the Town’s Assessor and Tax Collector and The Nathaniel Witherell Board. Prior to her service on the Board Beth served on the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting from District 7 for two years. She has also served as a past president of the Greenwich League of Women Voters, a member of the Junior League, a co-leader of a Girl Scout troop, and on various educational boards of trustees; and
WHEREAS, Beth is a graduate of Miss Porter’s School, Hamilton College and received a law degree from Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America. She worked in employment law and as in-house corporate counsel; and
WHEREAS, Beth is leaving the Board of Estimate and Taxation.
NOW, THEREFORE, l, Fred Camillo, FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, do
hereby proclaim Wednesday, December 22, 2021 as
Elizabeth "Beth" K. Krumeich Day
in the Town of Greenwich and encourage all our citizens to join me in recognizing her years of dedicated service to our community.
