PROCLAMATION from Fred Camillo, First Selectman
WHEREAS, Colonel Perry Baltimore served and honored the United States through 27 years of service in the military; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the Marshall Legacy Institute in 1998, Colonel Baltimore has helped children all over the world who have been exposed to the dangers of land mines; and
WHEREAS, He has made his personal mission to educate children and to encourage global citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Colonel Baltimore personally supported several Greenwich elementary schools, forming connections with both teachers and administrators; and
WHEREAS, He fostered global friendships through North Mianus School with countries across the world who have experienced the dangers of landmines; and
WHEREAS, Colonel Baltimore recognized staff and administrators who have supported the Marshall Legacy and honored them in annual celebrations in Washington D.C.
NOW, THEREFORE, l, Fred Camillo, FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, do
hereby proclaim Wednesday, November 17, 2021 as
Colonel Perry Baltimore and Champs Day
in the Town of Greenwich and urge all residents to join me in recognizing Colonel Perry Baltimore’s contributions to our community and the world and wish him well in his retirement and future endeavors.
