Pledge to fund Eastern Greenwich Civic Center project is announced

First Selectman Fred Camillo is pleased to announce a $5 million pledge for the new Eastern Greenwich Civic Center. In a statement, Mr. Camillo said, “The anonymous donor will be revealed shortly and work on this future Town jewel will begin soon. A grateful Town looks forward to a new civic center and public-private partnership for many years to come.”

The replacement of the building, located at 90 Harding Road, Old Greenwich that was built in 1950, has been discussed since 2000. Construction on the $21.5 million project is expected to begin in early 2022.
