Greenwich Time: Police prepare for all scenarios including DUIs, emergency first aid

Back in 2015, a sanitation worker’s arm became trapped inside the compactor of a garbage truck, nearly severing his limb below the elbow.
A police sergeant and a patrol officer who responded to the emergency used what is known as a combat application tourniquet to save the man’s arm — and his life.
