Dear Friends, We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones healthy, happy and safe and that the warmer, brighter days of Spring bring renewed hope and a stronger sense of optimism and excitement for the future.
In accordance with State and CDC guidelines - beginning in June, the Senior Center will be open for limited programs. Staff have been busy developing a plan that incorporates on-site, outdoor and virtual Zoom offerings.
Group transportation has been discontinued as we transition into the months ahead with great care and evaluate other options. All in-person programs - whether indoors or outside - will require advance registration and adherence to specific protocols.
The continued safety of members, volunteers and staff remains our top priority. The Commission on Aging’s Reopening Guidelines detail the essential procedures and protocols that must be followed by all and will be mailed to all members in the near future. We will continue on the path forward together, supporting each other as we have done through every phase of the pandemic.
The thoughtful and conservative approach applied to all decisions this past year will ensure the safety of participants while rebuilding confidence as we begin to navigate this new normal. Guidelines and recommendations will be updated as we continue to live through the pandemic.
The same spirit of collaboration and community that has helped us navigate the challenges of the past year will help us move into a safer and brighter future.
Your continued patience during this very dynamic time is essential as we move forward.
With warm regards,
Lori Contadino Lori Contadino, MS, CDP Director Greenwich Commission on Aging
