Dear Greenwich RTM,
I am writing to indicate my enthusiastic support for Item #2, 2- APPROVAL OF BLIGHTED BUILDINGS AND PROPERTIES ORDINANCE.
There are a several properties near my home that are in a significant state of disrepair, with obvious structural damage with collapsing exterior walls and/or roofs. We have seen raccoons and rats in and around the dilapidated structures which are a known health and safety risk, especially to the young children in the neighborhood.
Moreover, these properties are a hazard to the community at large as well as the police and fireman who have to deal with them. They are a blight on the neighborhood as well as very detrimental to property values of the vast majority of neighbors who responsibly care for their homes. For the good of the entire community and Town itself, I would like to see this ordinance passed as soon as possible.
Thanks for your consideration,

Re: Item 1
I am for returning the Greenwich Police to their traditional role on Greenwich Avenue.
Main reason for wanting police on the avenue is with the new influx of out of towners, I’ve witnessed within the last few weeks,
families crossing in the middle of the street not paying attention to the crosswalks.
two cars (on separate occasions) driving up Avenue the wrong way
all sorts of snarls due to parking spaces.
The police send a calming message. It’s important!!
Thank you.

We are writing this letter to the RTM and the town Selectmen because as retailers on Greenwich Avenue we are very concerned about the removal of the police at all intersections.
We are opposed to removing the police permanently and would like our objections to be noted at the March 8th meeting.
Removing the police presence changes the feel and look of Greenwich Avenue and the security that we all feel-retailer and citizens alike.
We understand that there is widespread support to maintain the police on the Avenue and we also support bringing the police back on a permanent basis.
Thank you,
