The Town of Greenwich Energy Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) and the Greenwich Sustainability Committee (GSC) announce Geothermal: The Future of Energy in Greenwich, a presentation and panel discussion on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 7-8 pm via Zoom. The event offers an important opportunity to better understand the benefits of geothermal heating and cooling technology in reducing energy use and costs in the public schools and other municipal building projects.
Members of EMAC, including Chair Peter Schweinfurth and Laura DiBonaventura, will present highlights of the committee’s annual report and moderate the discussion of the panel, which features the following experts:
Mike Richter, President of Brightcore Energy, which directs building owners to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels through a comprehensive approach to both energy efficiency and clean energy resources.
Chris Till, Facilities Manager of Manchester Public Schools, who oversees for the maintenance and operations of geothermal systems at three new net zero energy schools in Manchester, CT.
Jess Farber, Vice President with CMTA Consulting Engineers, a national pioneer in the development of high performance, sustainable buildings, with more than 9.5 million square feet of zero energy and zero carbon projects across the country.
