Another sure sign of spring is our Town’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. We will be marking it with a flag raising outside Town Hall on Friday, March 17 at 9 a.m. This is of course the actual day of the holiday and the public is invited to come join us as we salute the contributions of our Irish residents to our community and celebrate Irish culture.

Then the big event will be on Sunday, March 19 when we have our annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade down Greenwich Avenue, sponsored by the Greenwich Hibernian Association. This is one of the most festive events of the year and the whole Town loves to come out and celebrate the holiday by cheering on everyone in the parade.

For anyone who wants to attend the parade, everything will kick off from Town Hall at 2 p.m. The parade route goes up Field Point Road before turning right on the Post Road which brings it to the top of Greenwich Avenue where everyone will march down to Railroad Avenue. As of March 9, 2023 there are 11 bands that are committed to be in the parade and resident Kevin McFadden will serve as grand marshal.
