Bicycle Safety Training

Full Description

Bike_Picture
This bicycle safety event is designed to teach elementary school bicyclists the basic skills they need in order to cycle to school. By learning bike handling and traffic skills, one can enjoy bicycling more and reduce the chance of injury. This event is made up of a series of stations, each dealing with an important aspect of safe cycling. Participants will have their bicycles inspected, learn how to ride, learn the rules of the road, and practice bicycle-handling skills. If you do not own a bicycle a free bicycle rental will be provided. Pre-registration below is required.

Each group will be limited to 5 bicyclists and will be sent out in 15-minute intervals. A typical ride will last about an hour.

Social distancing and masks are required. Each participant will go through hand sanitizing before entering the area. In order to maintain the masks-on policy, no food or drinks will be provided.

Hosted by Pedal Greenwich and Greenwich Police.
