Purpose

The Retirement Board serves as Trustee of the Town of Greenwich Retirement System, a trust fund established under Article 14 of the Town Charter to provide retirement allowances for employees of the Town. 

Members

The Retirement Board consists of five members, including:

  • The Comptroller
  • Two citizens from the town not eligible for membership in the Retirement System, who are appointed by a committee composed of the First Selectman, the moderator of the Representative Town Meeting and the Chairman of the Board of Estimate and Taxation
  • Two employee-members elected by the membership of the Retirement System
