Great Captain Island & Island Beach

Greenwich is home to two islands situated roughly two miles off Greenwich Harbor, Great Captain Island, and Island Beach. 

The Town has three ferries that provide transportation from Greenwich Harbor out to the islands from the beginning of June through mid-September; the Island Beach, Indian Harbor, and Islander II. 

What you Need to Take the Ferry

  • Park Pass
  • Parking Pass 
  • Ferry Ticket

Passes are required for access to the islands by all visitors five years and older.  A resident seasonal Park Pass or a Single-Entry Park Pass is needed to purchase a ferry ticket at the Arch Street Ferry Dock.

Parking tickets for the ferry must be purchased at the Kiosk in the ferry parking lot, located across the street from ferry dock.  For additional parking information, contact the Parking Services Office at 203-618-3060. 

Ferry Schedules

The Cruise to Nowhere is a relaxing two-hour tour of local waters. Tickets are sold at the Arch Street Dock beginning at 10 am on the day of the cruise. A maximum of two tickets per transaction. Limited availability. Bring a friend and refreshments!
