Great Captain Island & Island Beach

Greenwich is home to two islands situated roughly two miles off Greenwich Harbor, Great Captain Island and Island Beach. 

The Town has three ferries that provide transportation from Greenwich Harbor out to the islands from the beginning of June through mid-September; the Island Beach, Indian Harbor and Islander II.

Ferry Service

In order to purchase a Ferry Ridership Ticket, you must have a OnePass with active Seasonal Park Pass or a Single Entry Park Ticket.  Single Entry Park/Ferry Combo Tickets are also available for purchase.

Resident Account Holders

OnePass with active Seasonal Park Pass required to purchase a Ferry Ridership Ticket (online or in person at the Arch Street Ferry Dock)

Single Entry Park/Ferry Combo Tickets are available online or at the Cos Cob Dockmaster Office, 94 Strickland Road, Cos Cob, CT 06807 (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)

Non Account Holders

Single Entry Park/Ferry Combo Tickets are available online Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. OR at the Cos Cob Dockmaster Office, 94 Strickland Road, Cos Cob, CT 06807 (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)

A pre-purchased Single Entry Ticket is required to purchase a Ferry Ridership Ticket at the Arch Street Ferry Dock. 

Single Entry Tickets are NOT sold at the Arch Street Ferry Dock.

Ferry Parking

Ferry Parking Tickets are available for purchase from the kiosk in the Island Beach Parking Lot. Once the designated ferry parking section is full, Parking Tickets must be purchased at the kiosk in the lot to park in the day parking section .

Cruise to Nowhere

The Cruise to Nowhere (CTN) is a relaxing two-hour cruise of local waters. Tickets are sold at the Arch Street Ferry Dock beginning at 10 a.m. on the day of the cruise. A maximum of four (4) tickets per transaction. Limited availability. Bring a friend and refreshments!  $20/person.  Ferry Parking Tickets must be purchased at the kiosk in the Island Beach Parking Lot.
