More information about Sexually-Transmitted Diseases (STD)

Anyone who has had unprotected sexual activity is at risk for a sexually-transmitted disease (STD). These are diseases that are passed from one person to another through sexual contact. Since many STDs do not show any symptoms, testing is very important. Treatment is available for most STDs. Left untreated, STDs can cause serious health problems and infertility.
