More information about Sexually-Transmitted Infections (STI)

Anyone who has had unprotected sexual activity is at risk for a sexually-transmitted infection (STI). These are diseases that are passed from one person to another through sexual contact. Since many STIs do not show any symptoms, testing is very important. Treatment is available for most STIs. Left untreated, STIs can cause serious health problems and infertility.
