Coronavirus COVID-19 Update
PARKING ENFORCEMENT - RESUMED ON JULY 6th
After a unanimous vote by the Board of Selectman, the resumption of all Town of Greenwich parking related fees went into effect at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Metered locations are enforced Monday thru Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. During these time frames, parking on Greenwich Avenue and other locations, as posted, is limited to two hour sessions. Those needing to park for longer durations are encouraged to use one of the many long term / 12 hour parking lots situated throughout the downtown area.
Parking in all Town operated parking lots and metered spaces is free on Sundays and Town holidays unless posted otherwise.
The Department of Parking Services will continue to enforce all posted No Parking zones and remind drivers to be sure to keep crosswalks and fire hydrants clear
The following updates to our departmental services / procedures, are noted in red:
Effective, October 13th, The Department of Parking Services, is open to the public, from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Appointments are recommended, while our community continues to practice social distancing.
Pay a Ticket- The original ticket fee line doubles if not paid within 15 days after the issue date of the ticket and triples if not paid within 30 days after the issue date.
NOTE: Tickets issued ONLY for meter violations are eligible for a $ 5 reduction when paid by the next business day. You can exercise this option ONLY when paying via the drop box.

Parking Hearing –
During this time, appeal hearings will be scheduled as telephone conferences. Complainants will be notified, via email, of their hearing date / time and are required to confirm their appointment.
All appeals may be made within 15 days of the ticket issue date. Hearing dates may be requested at: www.parkingticketpayment.com/greenwich

Welcome to the Town of Greenwich Department of Parking Services. We issue parking permits, enforce the Town’s parking laws, and manage the Town’s parking-related assets.
Department Location
We are located in a detached office in the back of the Greenwich Town Hall at 101 Field Point Road. When you park in the Town Hall Visitor Parking Garage:
- Walk through the front entrance of Town Hall. Continue straight through the main lobby and proceed down the stairs. Exit through the double doors and turn right.
OR - Walk around the back of Town Hall past the service entrance and proceed across the back pavilion area (handicap accessible route/entrance).
Department Responsibilities
The Department of Parking Services is responsible for:
- Managing municipal parking infrastructure and resources throughout the Town of Greenwich
- Issuing municipal and railroad station Parking Permits
- Encouraging appropriate parking through the issuance of Parking Violation Tickets
- Collecting revenue from and maintaining the municipal parking meter system
- Providing fiscal stewardship over the Town’s Parking Fund
