The Town of Greenwich offers several retirement plans to its employees:

  • 401(k) Savings Plan
  • 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan
  • Defined Benefit Pension Plan

Defined Benefit Pension Plan

The Defined Benefit Pension Plan is a trust fund established under Article 14 of the Town Charter to provide retirement allowances for employees of the Town. The Retirement Board serves as Trustee of the Town of Greenwich Retirement System. Retirees may contact Transamerica at 800-755-5801 or log on to the Transamerica Retirement Solutions website for changes to their pension payment information.

401(k) Savings Plan

The savings plan for employees of the Town of Greenwich was established as a supplemental retirement savings program for employees of the Town of Greenwich who are participants in the Defined Benefit Pension Plan. Employees may log on to the Transamerica Retirement Solutions website or call Transamerica at 800-755-5801 to view their account balance.
