As more and more people begin to heed the CDC warnings to avoid crowds and self-quarantine where possible, the Historic District Commission has prepared the following summary:

When is the next Historic District Commission Meeting? 
Presently the next public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. This may be subject to change. All materials must be sent to the HDC members by April 1, 2020. If you have any questions whether the meeting will occur, please email anne_h_young@hotmail.com.

Updates will be posted. You may also contact staff to determine the necessary materials to include in support of the application.

The Historic District Commission reviews proposed changes to structures and landscapes within the Historic Districts, provides the Planning and Zoning Commission with comments on applications and promotes the concept of preserving historic structures and landscapes in the Town.

Historic Overlay or (HO) designation is a tool used by the Planning and Zoning to encourage retention of notable structures by providing economic incentive through the easing of zoning restrictions in return for permanent deed restrictions including mandatory review of any changes to historic assets in the HO.
