GREENWICH EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM

What is Greenwich Alerts powered by EverBridge?

The Town of Greenwich Emergency Management Team will use Greenwich Alerts, powered by EverBridge, to ensure that you know about emergent situations that may affect your safety. This system allows the Greenwich Emergency Management Team to contact thousands of residents in seconds, so you can quickly find out about a crisis and take appropriate steps in response.

How does it work?

The process begins when the Town of Greenwich issues a message about a potential safety hazard or concern. Greenwich Alerts will then send a message through your primary contact path. A contact path is a way the system can contact you.  You can select to be called on your home phone, cell phone, text message, email or through the EverBridge app.  You can select one or all paths that you prefer to be contacted on. If you don't confirm receipt of the message, the system will try to reach your second contact path. The system will use the multiple contact paths that you established to reach you until you confirm receipt.

The success of this service relies on YOU. Having your latest contact information is the only way to ensure that we can contact you in an emergency.
