Waste Disposal & Recycling
Current Information on Operations:
Greenwich residents and local businesses are required to have a valid Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility entrance permit in order to use the facility.
Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas trees can be dropped off at Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility's yard waste area. There are three other Christmas tree collection sites offered by the Town. For information about the Christmas tree collection sites, CLICK HERE.
ATTENTION:
Starting July 1, 2022, visitors must display the new Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility entrance permit. Please prominently display the permit hangtag in your vehicle while visiting the facility. The entrance permit allows residents and local businesses to use the Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility for the entire 2022-2023 fiscal year (July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023).

Book Swap:
Fridays and Saturdays, 8 am - 12 pm donation containers will be available. Collection bins for shredded paper and plastic bags are located next to the office. Click here for more information.

Permit Requirements for Dumping at Holly Hill Facility
Residential
All residential vehicles entering the Holly Hill Facility must have and properly display a Holly Hill Permit.
Residents can bring their trash, garbage, refuse, yard debris, and recyclables to Holly Hill, or hire a private collector to pick up the trash at home. To find the name of a licensed collector in your area, use this list of licensed collectors (PDF).
Commercial
Commercial vehicles entering the Holly Hill Facility must have and properly display either a Holly Hill Permit or provide a Verification of Owner Form (PDF) completed and approved.
