In the event of a large-scale emergency or weather event, it may be necessary to open one or more emergency shelters in town. In the event of a large emergency or natural disaster, the Town of Greenwich will notify the public which Emergency Shelter(s) will be open to assist residents
The following locations have been designated, inspected and pre-planned as Emergency Shelters. Additional locations may be added if the need arises.
1. Western Greenwich Civic Center, 449 West Pemberwick Road, Greenwich
2. Eastern Middle School, 51 Hendrie Avenue, Greenwich
3. Central Middle School, 9 Indian Rock Lane, Greenwich
4. Greenwich High School, 10 Hillside Road, Greenwich
