Energy Management Advisory Committee

The Committee’s overall goal is to put the Town on the path to realizing a 20-40% reduction in energy costs, and related usage and greenhouse gas emissions, and to catalyze further energy reductions in the community. In rough terms, a 20% reduction in energy use could represent savings of $1-2 million and c. 3,400 metric tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions. The Committee’s challenge is to present to the BOS “what would it take” in terms of potential actions and to develop specific recommendations as to how to get there and the time it will require.
