Investigations Section                                                                   

The Investigations Section works closely with the Patrol Division, handling follow-up investigations of crimes and conducting analyses of crime patterns and trends. Detectives in this section conduct complex, often lengthy criminal investigations of crimes ranging from assaults, burglaries and vehicle thefts to financial crimes and identity thefts. This section is also responsible for conducting the background investigations for prospective police applicants for the Department.

The section is comprised of two sergeants and ten detectives.
