Appointments Committee

The Appointments Committee is a Standing Committee of the RTM. The operational responsibility as per RTM Rules are as follows: 

• Interview and evaluate all candidates for Town boards, commissions, agencies, Special Committees, and similar positions that are appointed by the RTM. 

• Recruit, evaluate and propose candidates for Boards, commissions, and agencies when Board of Selectmen fails to submit nominations within three months of the expiration of a term of office or the incidence of a vacancy. 

• Propose nominees for the Claims Committee, Labor Contracts Committee, Condemnation Commission, the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Advisory Council and the Flood and Erosion Control Board. 

• Review any organizational changes or reporting relationships in town government.

We are seeking RTM members for the Labor Contracts, Claims, Affordable Housing Trust Fund Advisory Council, and the RTM Representative to the HMC - please send CV to jude.collins@greenwichct.org by January 5th at noon.  Interviews will be Tuesday Jan 9th starting at 7:30pm
