Sewer
The Wastewater Division Manager, under direction of the Commissioner of Public Works, has charge of the construction, maintenance and repair of all sewers and sewerage systems, including the Grass Island Waste Water Treatment Plant and 28 pumping stations.
2018 Sewer and Manhole Rehabilitation
This project is a continuation of our routine annual sewer maintenance program where we perform
various types of rehabilitation of sanitary sewer infrastructure in various locations throughout Town.
The work includes rehabilitation of sewer manholes; point repairs of sewer mains; replacement of sewer
manholes and replacement of sewer manhole frames and covers.
Construction activities are starting to commence.

Old Greenwich Common Force Main
Work to include, but not limited to the following major items for the installation of a new wastewater force main in Bruce Park Avenue, Davis Avenue, the Metro-North Railroad right of way, and the Interstate 95 right of way in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Davis Avenue- Common Force Main Project
The Sewer Division is replacing a portion of the Old Greenwich Common Force Main. This is part of the project that has been underway along the north side of I-95 and the south side of the train tracks between Exit 4 of I-95 and Davis Avenue. The remainder of the work is to now install the force main under Davis Avenue and connect to an existing underground junction chamber at the intersection of Davis Avenue and Bruce Park Avenue. This force main carries wastewater under pressure from three of our wastewater pumping stations: Old Greenwich, Chapel Lane and Cos Cob Pumping Stations.

Riverside Train Station-Force Main Project
Construction activities related to the Old Greenwich Force Main will begin the week of December 2, 2019 for portions of the Riverside Train Station parking areas. Activities will be occurring on both sides of the train tracks. Parking will still be allowed in these parking lots, however certain areas will be restricted due to the construction.
