Effective June 1, Town Hall will be open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You must schedule an appointment with the department you plan to meet with. No walk-ins will be allowed and a face mask will be required to enter the building.

Waste Disposal

Holly Hill is OPEN. Please comply with social distancing and wear your mask. There are new traffic patterns and there may be delays as we manage traffic through the site, particularly on Saturdays. No new permits are being issued at this time. If you have no permit, bring proof of residency that is clearly legible through your car window. New permits required starting July 1, 2020- please click here for more information. Hours continue to be M-F 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM and Sat 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM. PLEASE make every effort to limit your trips and come during the week!

*Household Hazardous Waste Day has been postponed. Once a new date has been determined it will be posted to the Website.

Building Inspection Division

Document Submittal – To submit documents to complete previously submitted and pending permit applications or to comply with permit conditions for issued permits for the purpose of obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy, email documents to bldginsp@greenwichct.org. When received, if document is not suitable for staff to print you will be notified by return email to mail the document[s].

Permit Status - Questions regarding permit status of pending permits or issued permits for the purpose of obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy/Compliance shall be emailed to bldginsp@greenwichct.org , you will receive a return email response.

The Division is currently making inspections, however, due to the current Covid 19 pandemic the Division’s automated phone call-in system will only accept inspections that are outdoors. Any requests for indoor inspections or any type of final inspection will only be accepted through an email to inspectionrequests@greenwichct.org  If the automated phone system rejects your request then please email it to the email above.

These email requests will be screened by staff to ensure the job site will be abiding by the recommended CDC social distancing guidelines and the applicant will be contacted by email to verify compliance to same prior to scheduling inspection.

Sewer Information

In order to process permits electronically/ remotely the Sewer Division has created a temporary process. Click here for a detailed instruction sheet on the remote permitting process. The Sewer permit application form may be found here. Due to Covid-19 and limited schedules, Sewer inspections will be performed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. by appointment. Please call the inspector line at 203-622-0963 ext. 5 and leave a message. Our inspector will be checking the voicemails remotely and will call back to schedule an appointment.
